Singer

Observational drawings are my favorite. Case in point:

Painted in Photoshop, 2012. It was my mom's high school graduation present, which is pretty neat, but I use it now (she has a new one). 

Here are the steps I went through to get this, if you're curious.
1. Relatively careful sketch
2. Lay in local values/colors
3. Render, keeping in mind shadows and reflections
4. Render more (add/fix reflection on base).

I might still go in and do some subtle color correction, but it's good for now.
